Choosing suppliers and not supporting large incumbents is something i am very concious of across my whole life, I know they're inefficient, and too simply profit driven, and being green is largely an issue of PR rather than business practice, but there's a lot more to do. I was not too far away from writing a post on building a sustainable business, its one of those things that I like to think is inherent now in how we operate, using minimal resources seems like a way of life that particularly in business I’ve only ever had.

Choosing suppliers and not supporting large incumbents is something i am very concious of across my whole life, I know they’re inefficient, and too simply profit driven, and being green is largely an issue of PR rather than business practice, but there’s a lot more to do.

The best thing about turning off the laptop is the fresh start. I once counted in excess of 30 tabs and 20 apps going all at once and I realised that maybe I get a little unfocused. Good point! I would also add the following - computers can not just be on power save but you can also turn them off when not in use. There is no real need to leave a laptop on when you are at a meeting, lunch or when it's not being used. In fact turning the computer completely off can reduce any possible distractions when you really need to focus on something else. This is an outstanding list Marc!!
