Do you really want something in Saasu that you think lots of other customers will want?

Saasu is an R&D company at heart, more specifically we are the software as a service utility company that shares a single line of development across 10,000+ customers.

Basically this means we don’t do bespoke custom software development for our clients that can’t be reused in our products for lots of other customers.

We do want to build great products used by a lot of people and customers like you are our best source of new problems we can solve. So we like to hear about your real issues and we do like solving them. Financial management, productivity or just something you need that is a great idea and you think we might be interested.

We just like solving them with products we can sell thousands or millions of times, we don’t like doing ‘one off’ or ‘bespoke’ development.

The reason is simple, if we develop something with one day of work it costs us (say) $1,000 to $10,000 to do that work (such as write a small program or design a small feature). We sell it once and it looks more than a little expensive. If we sell it to lots of customers then all of a sudden it looks fairly good value.

If you have a real life business problem that you think (and we also think) is a common problem that lots of people really need solving (or just a great idea that lots of people would like to see delivered to the world) then maybe just maybe we will develop it. The deal is -

• you get to specify the problem but the exact solution design will be ours
• you get to review the design brief, this is usually done over the phone or via email
• you usually get early access to the beta product
• you have to test it (we do lots of testing but you need to do some final user testing to make sure it meets your needs and you understand any tradeoffs)
• you get subsidised development costs (because you share the cost with our development budget) but still based on market rates (like those mentioned above)
• we own the intellectual property
• you get normal subscription charges (sometimes small extra charges if it is a new product) but still based on market rates (like those on our pricing page)
• being a product company we won’t build you a specialist vertical solution if you are a niche industry (say like a ’sky diving dentist that needs high velocity remote access billed by vertical speed after reaching terminal velocity’) but we do build exceptionally good ‘90% fit or better’ solutions
• timing of delivery for any development is driven by our global development pipeline across all countries and clients and commercial opportunities we are pursuing global, we are not sitting around waiting for your work so you shouldn’t expect us to drop everything for you, we won’t unless the opportunity from you and others for this specific need or idea is truly exceptional… three to six months is a fair estimate but twelve or more is not unusual
• if you need really fast or cheap development use our connector technology and find yourself an independent developer and get them to become a saasu developer or partner
