PayPal lets you receive or pay money and all you need is an email address and a bank account. Many of their simple features are free. PayPal is much like a bank. If you have a PayPal account for your business it would tend to be run as a Bank Account of type Asset e.g. Asset:PayPal

Paypal merchant accounts enable additional features like simple but secure checkout links with your logo on invoices, web pages or blogs so your customers can pay with credit card or Paypal funds or even direct debit.

Importing data from Paypal into Saasu is now supported

A Paypal account is very similar to a day to day Bank Account, and regardless whether you are only receiving money into it or just using it for payments the running balance will never be a negative.
