Getting data from you bank into Saasu involves exporting your bank statement to a file from your online banking service and then importing this file into Saasu online accounting.
Step 1
Assuming you have online banking established, ensure that you are comfortable using it. Most online banking sites offer an ‘export’ or ‘download’ data feature. At present Saasu supports all bank formats via the Bank Guarantee we offer subscribers. Generally speaking QIF and CSV formats have immediate support.
Sign in to your online banking site in your usual way and find the export or download data feature. Follow the instructions they provide you to export the data for the date range (or statement number) you require into a file. Use one of the file formats listed in the table below when you export/download. Save the file on your desktop or in another suitable location as you will use this file to import into Saasu
Step 2
- Click the add Icon adjacent to Import (below Bank Accounts) in the Main Menu.
- Select the bank account you want to import into from the first drop down list
- Select the bank for this import from the second drop down list
- Select the format of the file you want to import from the third drop down list
- Select the file you want to import on your computer by clicking the Browse button and following the prompts
- Click the Import button
- The data will now have been imported into Saasu as pending transactions.
- Follow the help note about creating transaction from uncategorized imported transactions.
