Instruction Format - ‘Robot Speak’ Sentence Structure
Robots are dumb, while they are constantly getting smarter they are still pretty dumb. Right now the Saasu robot is very dumb so don’t expect too much!
He likes instructions in this order, in fact f you don’t use this order he won’t usually understand you but he will remember everything you told him so you can look at it next time you sign in to sassu.com
- Action - always use the action first such as add, send, tell me
- Item- what the action related to such as invoice
- Details - any special information needed for that Action and Item combination
For example
ADD CLIENT CONTACT SUSAN COOPER SUE@SUSANSCOMPANY.COM 5557890
SEND INVOICE FOR SUSAN COOPER STANDARD CONSULTATION
Would add susan to your list of contacts and tag her as a client and add her email and work phone number then create an invoice with one line item and email it to her.
Other Robot Speak Tricks
He also understands synonyms (in this case we mean different words or spelling or similar meaning) pretty well.
Some words don’t mean anything or just confuse him so he ignores them.
Instructions are normally done immediately and date time stamped immediately too. If you want something to be done at some other time he understands time words too.
If he doesn’t understand something don’t worry, he won’t throw the message away, he will remember it and it will appear in your in-tray awaiting clarification next time you.
If you accidentally used robot speak in your contact name or in your inventory item codes your robot may get confused. e.g. File Note William Tell Apples will cause confusion because Tell is a action word.
